Power track FAQ
What is a power track?
A power track is a concealed aluminium rail that carries mains electricity along its length. You snap in adaptors — British power plugs, USB chargers — anywhere along the track. It replaces the row of wall sockets behind your kitchen counter or desk with a clean, minimal rail.
Where do people install power tracks?
Most commonly under kitchen wall cabinets (replacing the socket splash-back), along desk edges in offices, and inside furniture in reception areas. Anywhere you need multiple power points in a line but want a cleaner look than a row of wall sockets.
Can I mix power and USB adaptors on one track?
Yes. The same track accepts both British power adaptors and USB charging adaptors. You can have a power adaptor for the kettle, a USB-C adaptor for your laptop, and a USB-A adaptor for your phone — all on the same 60cm rail.
Is it safe?
Yes. The track only energises the contact points when an adaptor is fully seated and locked. The rail surface is not live. Installation should be done by a qualified electrician as it connects to mains wiring.
What colours are available?
Adaptors come in black, white, grey, red, and rose gold. The track rail is available in black. Mix colours for a design statement or keep it uniform — the adaptors are interchangeable.
How many adaptors fit on one track?
A 60cm track typically fits 3-4 adaptors depending on the adaptor width. For longer runs, mount multiple tracks end-to-end. Each track needs its own mains connection.
