Switches, sockets,
dimmers & panels
Touch switches, smart sockets, LED dimmers, and scene controllers. WiFi & Zigbee. Tuya, Alexa & Google Home compatible. Glass and metal finishes.
Two protocols, one app
All our smart switches run on the Tuya platform — the global standard powering over 600,000 smart devices. Whether you choose WiFi or Zigbee, everything connects through one app and works with Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings.
WiFi switches connect directly to your router. Simple setup — no hub needed. Best for small installations: a few switches in an apartment, a single room upgrade, or a quick start into smart home.
Zigbee switches connect through a gateway hub and form a mesh network — each switch strengthens the signal for every other device. This is the professional choice for whole-home installations. Zigbee is an open, standards-compliant protocol (IEEE 802.15.4), meaning your devices aren't locked to a single vendor. It uses far less power than WiFi, doesn't congest your router, and — critically — automations keep running even if your internet goes down.
Our recommendation: start with WiFi if you're automating one or two rooms. Choose Zigbee if you're doing a full house, want maximum reliability, or plan to expand over time.
WiFi

- Needs internet for automations
Zigbee Recommended
- Mesh network — stronger with more devices
- Open standard (IEEE 802.15.4)
- Works offline — automations run locally

What can you automate
with smart switches?
Smart switches do more than turn lights on and off. With schedules, scenes, and automations, they become the backbone of your smart home.
- Schedule lights to turn on at sunset, off at bedtime
- Control boiler with DP switch — hot water when you need it
- "Leaving home" scene — one tap turns off everything
- Motion sensor triggers hallway lights automatically
- Voice control: "Alexa, turn off all lights"

AirBnB Smart HomeSmart switch FAQ
Do smart switches work with my existing wiring?
Yes. Our smart switches are designed as direct replacements for standard wall switches. They fit in the same wall box with the same wiring. Some models work with neutral+live wire, others work with live wire only (no neutral) — perfect for older Kenyan homes where neutral wire may not be at the switch.
What is the difference between WiFi and Zigbee switches?
WiFi switches connect directly to your router — simpler setup, no gateway needed. Zigbee switches use less power and form a mesh network for better range, but require a Zigbee gateway (hub). Both work with Tuya, Alexa, and Google Home. For a home with many switches, Zigbee is more reliable.
Can I use smart switches without a phone?
Absolutely. Every smart switch still works as a normal touch switch — tap to toggle, no phone required. The app and voice control are additions, not requirements. If your WiFi goes down, the switch still works manually.
What is a double pole (DP) switch and when do I need one?
A double pole switch disconnects both live and neutral wires — required for high-power appliances like water heaters, boilers, ovens, and air conditioners (45A rating). Smart DP switches let you schedule your boiler to heat water before you wake up, then auto-off to save electricity.
Can I control switches with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. All our Tuya-compatible switches work with Alexa and Google Home out of the box. After adding the switch to the Tuya app, link your Tuya account to Alexa or Google Home. Then say "Alexa, turn off the bedroom lights" or "Hey Google, set living room to 50%".
Do you install smart switches?
We can recommend experienced electricians in Nairobi who install smart switches regularly. The installation is straightforward — any licensed electrician can do it in 15 minutes per switch. We provide wiring diagrams with every switch.
